The University of Porto is currently undertaking a process of analysis and reflection on the role of the Arts and Culture within Academia. It is also developing an Arts on Prescription (AoP) project that promotes the arts and culture as tools for enhancing well-being.
In this context, the survey “Cultural Profile of the University of Porto Community” is being conducted with the aim of characterizing the interests, habits, artistic and cultural practices, and barriers to cultural participation of the academic community (students, lecturers, researchers, technical staff, and alumni), as well as gathering information on dimensions of well-being and social interaction, with a view to developing a more inclusive, participatory, and evidence-based institutional cultural policy.
Your participation is voluntary. You may choose not to answer any question and may stop completing the questionnaire at any time, without any academic, professional or personal consequences.
The questionnaire is anonymous, does not collect data that directly or indirectly identifies participants, and takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Responses will be processed and analysed exclusively in aggregate form, making it impossible to identify individuals.
This survey is an initiative of the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Museums of the University of Porto, in partnership with the Observatory of Art and Culture in Higher Education, based at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Porto (IS-UP), the Centre for Psychology of the University of Porto (CPUP) and CRIA/PPG-Artes/EBA of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), through the scientific participation of Prof. Andréa Falcão, a postdoctoral researcher working in Portugal.
